Want To Grab A Coffee: 1

Good morning sunshines!

I don't know about you but I cant think of a more laid back and relaxed form of chit chat then over a great cup of coffee or your favorite latte. This new series I've been wanting to start for quite some time now is just going to be me writing to you guys all about what's on my mind. So grab your coffee and enjoy!

This past week I've been waking up every morning at 5:30. I can't even begin to tell you how many days I've woken up and gone directly to my phone to check my social media for a ridiculously embarrassing amount of time. I've noticed that by starting my day off like that has brought nothing but negativity to my morning. Who wants their day to be started off on a bad note? Not me! Instead of rolling over and checking my phone, I lace up my sneakers and head out the door for a walk. It only takes twenty-one days to make something a habit, so my goal is to continue doing this for twenty-one days and it'll quickly become a regular part of my morning routine! I think it's so important to start each day off on a positive note and I think a morning walk will help me do exactly that. Another thing I want to add to my routine once I get this whole walking thing set is stretching, or some yoga. I think that'll also benefit my body in a huge way. One thing at a time though!

On a totally different topic I met my friend Maya yesterday at Haymarket Cafe. We literally talked for hours. It was so great to sit down with somebody and thoroughly enjoy their company. One thing we discussed that really stuck with me was the fact that I'm always turning down opportunities to do fun things because I'm "too tired". I feel as though I'm never making time for experiences that will make me happy, and always put myself on a back burner. You're only on this earth for a very short amount of time. Why do we keep allowing ourselves to be anything short of happy? This is my challenge to you: Stop waiting. This weekend I want you to go on that road trip you keep putting off, try the new restaurant that you've been dying to go to, read that book you've had your eye on, call a friend that you haven't spoken to in a while! This is me telling you to go do something that makes you happiness and brings you peace.

I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Love always,
Michaela
